A bit about us.

We are proud sponsors of Thanet Wanderers RFC, a club that held a special place in the heart of our founder, Colin Brown. Colin was not just a player but also a coach and a lifelong supporter of the team.

Recently, our team expanded and relocated to Broadstairs High Street. We love being part of this vibrant community and thoroughly enjoy the warm conversations with familiar faces who pop in to say hello.

We strive to be the friendly, approachable, and accessible face of finance. No question is too small – we are here to listen, support, and guide you through every step of your financial journey.

Our mission is to provide clear, dependable advice that truly makes a difference.

Beyond finance, our office is home to football enthusiasts, though one of us is outnumbered 3:1 as the only Manchester United supporter in an office full of Arsenal fans – making for some lively debates!

Where do we start? It’s impossible to talk about Need Financial Planning without mentioning our wonderful Colin Brown. As the visionary behind our business, Colin built this company on a foundation of trust, integrity, and genuine care for his clients. His warmth, humour, and larger-than-life personality were the heart of our firm, and we miss him dearly since his passing in January 2021.

Colin’s passion for helping others lives on through Need Financial Planning, now led by his sons, Rob and James. They have already expanded our team and fulfilled their dad's dream of moving the office to the charming Broadstairs High Street.

Well done, boys – you’re making him, and all of us, incredibly proud.
