Downloading your Transaction Listings

For our mortgage research, we may need recent transaction listings. Many banks now offer these online, allowing you to download up-to-date records of your account activity. Transaction listings provide additional details beyond monthly statements, helping us assess your financial position accurately. Follow our simple steps to download these from your bank's online platform.

NatWest

01 - Log into Online Banking

02 - Select 'Statements' from the left-hand menu

03 - Then from the 'Search for a transaction' section click on 'Search transactions'

04 - Follow the instructions on your screen

05 - You can search through your statements by transaction type, date, description or amount

06 - Use the search options to set the date range to the latest 3 months

07 - Export your transactions to Excel (not PDF)

Halifax

01 - Log into Online Banking

02 - Select 'More Actions' from the righthand-side options

03 - Select the 'Search' button on the right.

04 - Within the 'Period' section, set the date range to be the last 3 completed months and then click 'Search'

05 - Leave the 'Enter description or amount' box blank and select 'All transaction types' from the dropdown menu.

06 - Click the search/ magnifying glass icon

07 - At the bottom of the screen, select 'Export .CSV'

Nationwide

01 - Log into your online banking account.

02 - Open the statement for the relevant account from the options on the left-hand side.

03 - Choose the start and end dates for the transaction period (we require the latest 3 months).

04 - Click on the "Download transactions" option located in the top-right corner of the screen.

05 - Select the "Download CSV file" option.

06 - The file will automatically download as an Excel document at the bottom of your screen.

07 - Click on the file to open it, then save it to your documents folder.

08 - The file is now ready to be attached to an email and sent to your adviser.

Barclays

01 - Log into Online Banking

02 - Select 'Transactions' from the top navigation

03 - Input the required date range (we will ask for the latest 3 months of transaction history)

04 - Select the search icon

05 - Select the 'Download' button, and choose the '.CSV' format

06 - Your file will be saved into your 'Downloads' folder and can now be attached to an email to share with your adviser.

HSBC do not currently offer Excel exports of transaction listings.

TSB

01 - Log into your online banking account.

02 - Select the account you require.

03 - Scroll down to the bottom of the account page and select 'export'.

04 - Choose the start and end dates for the transaction period you wish to download (we require the latest 3 months).

05 - Select 'Export'.

06 - The excel file should appear at the bottom of your screen (if it doesn't, select the three dots in the right-hand side of your browser, and select 'Downloads').

07 - Click on the file to open it, then save it to your documents folder.

08 - The file is now ready to be attached to an email and sent to your adviser.

01 - Log in to your online banking account

02 - From the lefthand side of the screen, select 'View transactions'

03 - Choose the date range of the transactions you wish to download (we ask for the latest 3 months)

04 - Select 'Download transactions' from the righthand side of the screen

05 - From the 'Download to' drop down menu, select 'Microsoft excel (XLS)

06 - Select 'Download'

07 - The excel file should appear at the bottom of your screen (if it doesn't, select the three dots in the right-hand side of your browser, and select 'Downloads').

08 - Click on the file to open it, then save it to your documents folder.

09 - The file is now ready to be attached to an email and sent to your adviser.
